Great live music for festivals, parties, weddings and more!

About Glenn Rainey & the Band

Growing up in New Orleans, Glenn Rainey spent most of his youth studying different areas of the performing arts. From opera to ballet, band to musical theater, New Orleans to New York, his life has revolved around music and performing — rehearsal and the next show. He started playing live music venues in college, entertaining crowds with covers and original tunes. He also began playing sacred music, providing music for Catholic masses and praise bands. He has over a decade of experience playing in a wide variety of settings, including restaurants & bars, festivals, special events, and wedding ceremonies & receptions.

Being raised on an eclectic musical diet of Gospel, New Orleans Jazz, R&B, 70s Rock, and even Classical Music has allowed him to bring a very different sound to blues, contemporary rock, country, and Louisiana-inspired music. His warm, upbeat, and soulful voice and bright stage presence come together to deliver outstanding performances with each show. Glenn regularly performs solo for wedding ceremonies and special events.

Glenn Rainey Band: The members of the band have more than 50 years of combined musical experience. Their experiences include playing in an Army Band, performing across the continental United States and overseas, and backing up some of the biggest names in entertainment, including members of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. The Glenn Rainey Band has the flexibility to meet the needs of any event and venue, offering a trio for smaller venues or lighter events and the standard quartet (keyboard-guitar-bass-drums) for full-size gigs for great music and a lot of fun. Sometimes a saxophone player joins the band to round out a full, funky sound.
